Who We Are

Motherboard was born from a simple but enduring realization: builders do not thrive alone.

In its early days, the platform focused on supporting women entrepreneurs navigating the demands of building businesses while balancing work, family, and community. That work revealed something broader. Entrepreneurship is not limited to company formation — it is the foundation of capability, resilience, and economic agency in a rapidly changing world.

Today, the nature of work is shifting at an unprecedented pace. Advances in AI, automation, and technology are redefining how careers begin and evolve. For many — particularly young people — the traditional pathways into work are becoming less clear, even as expectations continue to rise.

Motherboard exists to meet this moment.

It operates as a platform advancing meaningful work and economic empowerment for women and the next generation, bringing together education, workforce, and real-world opportunity. Through advocacy and a growing ecosystem of mission-driven platforms, Motherboard is working to create clearer, more practical pathways into work that is both viable and meaningful.
